To get an idea of what people’s views were of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, I made a survey and posted it on all of my social media platforms. I then used this available data to carry out my own analysis and coding, identifying overarching themes.

_Initial thoughts are mostly positive (22), few skeptical participants (8), and even fewer negative (6).

_Out of the participants that have participated in psychedelics, most said their experience was for recreational purposes (26), and for therapeutic benefits (13).

_Almost half of the participants said they were interested in participating in psychedelic drugs, and would like to know more about the subject.

_Most of the participants who have participated in psychedelic drugs would or would potentially be interested in sharing their experience.

_From those who have turned away from using psychedelic drugs, their concerns consisted of legal issues, lack of interest, haven’t had the opportunity, and fear of psychological harm or damage.

_The most popular method of learning more about this topic is an exhibition space, followed by an Instagram feed.
